SCBCM9: Andes Village Trekkers

{Male Only Position}

May 27 - July 18

Cost: $2,000

Peru - Tiana - 6.jpg

There is a great need for students to serve in the small village town of Mara, Peru, high in the Andes Mountains. Among the 4,000 people in the area, there are only 10-15 believers meeting in a house church. Because most of the people come from a rich oral tradition and culture, your form of communicating the Good News is through oral strategies, including Bible narratives and other oral arts. Join a team of students from across the U.S. and be intentionally trained to serve the people of Mara by sharing Bible narratives as you help them with their daily trades. Come develop relationships as you share in the everyday lives of the people. Come share the Word of God. Invest in beautiful people who need to know their Savior.  Rugged living conditions and high altitude are a reality here, but the beautiful vistas will make up for it!

Your team, made up of BCMissionaries and other students from around the country, will develop friendships with Chilean youth; making disciples through intentional English and sports ministry in local schools. You will serve alongside the IMB team and volunteer teams for the USA for one-week projects in church planting. You will receive orientation and debriefing with other student missionaries serving the Americas in Memphis, Tennessee.

SCBCM11: MCM Uganda

Uganda, Africa

this position has been filled!

You will have the opportunity to partner with Macedonian Call Ministries (MCM) and Ugandan national believers in reaching an unreached people group. There is a strong gospel presence in the area, but many have yet to believe in the gospel. Your team of SC BCMissionaries will focus their time in the following three areas:

  1. Evangelism - Our objective is for every student to share the gospel as many times as possible. This will be through door to door and “as you are going” ministry.

  2. Leadership Development - Work with the local church leaders to help equip and mobilize more believers.

  3. Community Outreach - We support a children’s home that provides for 18 orphans and will spend time serving those children. We will also conduct a vacation Bible school program and lead a basketball/sports clinic in the town center that allows us to share the gospel with a large number of young men and women.

Local young people have little to no access in musical training. Use your musical skills to teach young people to play guitar, keyboard, flute, drums & percussion. Help local believers develop music teams for worship. Tutor community children. Relationships will open doors for the Gospel. You and your team of 5 from across the U.S. will be working directly with a national pastor. Prior to traveling to Romania, you will attend orientation with other Nehemiah Team Students in Alabama, and will return at the end of the summer for debriefing.

SCBCM13: Italian Summer Internship

May 28 - July 11

Cost: $3,000

Kelsey Phillips (40).jpg

You and your partner will work with an evangelical church in your city to serve them and build relationships with locals. Despite its relevance in Christian history, Italy is spiritually dark – fewer than 1% have a personal relationship with Christ. Come and use your love for God, your love for people and your interest in Italian culture to help churches make an impact for Jesus.
